Friday & Saturday December 19th & 20th, 2008 | EMBRUJO FLAMENCO Presents "Navidad Flamenca" Celebrate the holidays with flamenco music, singing and dancing. Our Holiday program includes Villancicos. 'Villancicos' (Spanish Christmas carols), Villancicos are coplas (traditional popular songs) that are typical of Christmas time, with an unquestionable gypsy influence. It is a lively, happy style and belongs to the Andalusian "aflamencado" coplas (aflamencado, literally "flamencoised", is a way to refer to pre-existing forms which were altered by the influence of flamenco).A Christmas Basket (cesta de Navidad) will be raffled at each of the shows. The basket will have several produts from Spain, including turrón(Christmas candy), cava (champagne), Spanish Olives, etc. Raffle tickets: $5
